The HIDA Trainee Network is a Helmholtz-wide exchange program for doctoral and postdoctoral researchers whose research has a strong connection to (applied) information or data science. The program enables one to three month research stays at another Helmholtz Center financially supported by the Helmholtz Information & Data Science Academy (HIDA).
With the HIDA Trainee Network, HIDA promotes transfer of expertise in the field of Information & Data Science, enables method exchange between groups from different Helmholtz Centers and research fields, and fosters cooperation between Helmholtz researchers and centers. At the same time, the program offers up and coming scientists the opportunity to apply their knowledge at other centers of the Helmholtz Association and in other research domains, and to expand their research portfolio.
DETAILS
WHAT? Financial support for one- to three-month-long research stays at another Helmholtz Center.
WHO? For doctoral and postdoctoral researchers with strong connection to (applied) information or data science.
FUNDING? Two funding options are available: 1. Receive funding for travel and material expenses (for Helmholtz-internal doctoral and postdoctoral researchers). 2. Receive a research grant (for Helmholtz-affiliated postdocs).
WHEN? The application deadline is open until March 15, 2021 (for planned research stays until summer 2022).
