Early-career researchers

IFU currently hosts around 70-80 early-career researchers, i.e. doctoral researchers and postdocs, from different disciplines such as Physics, Meteorology, Geography, Chemistry, Biology, Landscape Ecology, Engineering and Environmental Sciences. They investigate various aspects of climate change in one of IFU’s three research departments and nine research groups. 

Early-career researchers starting their work at IMK-IFU become part of an international community in an excellent research environment, with lots of networking possibilities, training and career development opportunities. Supporting and training young researchers towards scientific independency is an important mission to both, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and the Helmholtz Association.
